Making a QR code for your app?
A QR code holds one link, but your app lives in two stores. Put an App Store link in it and Android users hit a dead end. Put a smart link in it instead and every phone opens the right store. Read the full guide: how to make one QR code for iPhone and Android.
Questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. You can make and download as many QR codes as you like without an account. There's no watermark.
Will my QR code expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the link is stored inside the code itself, so it keeps working as long as the link it points to works.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG is fine for websites, social posts and documents. For anything printed, use SVG: it stays sharp at any size.
How do I make one QR code for both the App Store and Google Play?
A QR code can only hold one link. Create a free smart link first, then put that link in your QR code. iPhone users go to the App Store and Android users go to Google Play.
How big should I print my QR code?
At least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in) for something held in the hand, and much bigger for posters read from a distance. Keep a white border around it and test it on a phone before printing.
